Supreme Chapter Coat of Arms

The following is an excerpt taken from the Website Guidelines laid down by Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland.

Please note that the image is only reproduced here for information purposes, and to insure that there is no doubt of the image in question.

The Reason...
The image is not just a logo as most people assume, it is in fact a registered Coat of Arms, and it is therein that the problem arises.

I was referred to The Court of the Lord Lyon - the official heraldry office for Scotland. They explain quite well what you can, and cannot do with a Coat of Arms.

Supreme Grand Chapter of Scotland

If in doubt you can write to them, the postal address is on the website.

But as it transpires the final say in the allowable usage for the Supreme Chapter's Coat of Arms, does lie with Supreme themselves. A recent request to allow usage for linking purposes on the web was declined.

In view of this I contacted by good friend of mine Comp. Stephen McKim in Indiana, USA and asked him create something as an alternative. That is it there on the left, it is linked to a larger image and is in a .PNG format, it is free to use, all I ask is that if you do use the image on your site somewhere you credit the artist.
